Arsenal got maximum point after defeating the Hornets at the Vicarage road, as goals from Martin Odeegard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli was enough to do the damage to the home team.
Manager Mikel Arteta was highly instrumental in the creation of third goal as he raced from his sit to start a quick throw in, taken by Bukayo Saka which led to a rapid combination of passes to find Gabriel Martinelli and the Brazilian wasted no time in smashing in from the edge of the box into the net.
This action is quite rare in the premier league as you hardly see Managers get so involved in the game, and when questioned about the legality of such actions Mikel Arteta hinted that the fourth official had suggested he might have bent the rules a bit.
The Spaniard speaking to BBC revealed that the fourth official said “Mikel, you shouldn’t be allowed to do that’. “It just came out. I am living the game there, trying to help as much as possible, I saw an advantage there to be taken and I did it.”
Arsenal’s win against Watford saw them leapfrog United into the fourth position with three games in hand.
