Fiorentina club Director Joe Barone has verified that the club is trying to sell highly rated Striker Dusan Vlahovic, but have not reached an agreement with Arsenal yet.
Arsenal are in dire need of a Striker and once again the need for a Striker was once again more visible when they lost out to Liverpool in the Semi final of their EFL cup clash.
The Serbian has refused to sign a new contract and the Tuscans will like to get a fee on him if they can as his current deal expires in 2023.
Reports had earlier confirmed that Arsenal and Fiorentina had reached an agreement but Barone denied it as he said no agreement had been reached with any English team in his interview with La Nazione newspaper. .
“Some English clubs have made contact, but there is no agreement yet. We are open [to selling].”

“I haven’t heard anything from them, I had asked Vlahovic’s agent to be clear, but I haven’t heard anything, no contacts at all,” Barone further added.
However, Fiorentina’s asking price for Vlahovic is €75-80m and the striker has requested an €8m-a-year salary.
Arsenal would be looking to explore other options if Vlahovic’s deal does not work out.
