Among the professional club’s preparation is the appointment of The club’s Team Captain.

Legendary players like Patrick Vieira, Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas and even the present Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta have been honoured with the responsibility of wearing the Armband.

Formal Arsenal player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was officially the last person to be the team captain but was stripped of the position after breaching the clubs’ disciplinary rules, the armband has been bounced around ever since.

Players who are been considered for the position of Team captain include 23-year-old Norwegian player Martin Ødegaard, Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka, English Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, Scottish full-back Kieran Tierney and 29 years old Ghanian Thomas Teye Partey.

Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White are also down the list of preferred candidates for the position.

Manager and former team captain Mikel Arteta will soon be announcing the official New Arsenal team captain as all the players are counting down the days and waiting for the big news.
