Football club Barcelona are on the verge of loosing their top midfielder Frenkie De Jong, 25, to Manchester United. De Jong has finally agreed to leave Barcelona. However his agreeing would not change the mind of either parties (Manchester United and Barcelona).

Barcelona are only selling De Jong due to the financial mess they are into. Frenkie is just 25 years old, he is very young and his future is still very much alive. Although Manchester United are not playing the Champions League next season, their new boss Erik Ten Hag has new plans for the team which will feature Frenkie as the leader of the “big plan”.

De Jong will play in the position of outgoing Paul Pogba who is going to Juventus. De Jong once described his move to Barcelona as a backward step. Frenkie De Jong joined Barcelona in 2019, from Ajax. At Ajax his manager was Erik Ten Hag both player and coach are now looking forward to reuniting with each other.

Frenkie De Jong’s current market value is around €75m. Barcelona are however ready to sell him for €86m (£69m) to Manchester United.
