Barcelona chairman Joan Laporta has fit disclosed his reason for putting Frenkie De Jong in the transfer window for the summer.
Frenkie De Jong is determined to stay in Barcelona as he is convinced that his future is based in Barcelona at the Camp Nou. Frenkie has spent 4 years in Barcelona ever since he joined the Catalan Giants from Ajax in 2018.
Frenkie De Jong is now needed in clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal. With Manchester United emerging as the top interested club for Frenkie, Barcelona will be willing to sell Frenkie De Jong for €86m (£69m).
Barcelona however are not selling Frenkie De Jong willingly. They are only selling him to generate funds. Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez explained Barcelona’s actions as a good evil. Barcelona have explained that there is nothing that they can do about it. Barcelona are currently having debts of £1.16bn.
Barcelona will only sell Frenkie De Jong if a reasonable offer of about €75-€100m comes for him. Already Manchester have offered €86m.
