Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, appears to have offered a hint concerning the club’s alleged transfer pursuit of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.
With 18 goals in 20 games in all competitions this season, the Serbian international has established himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents.
While Arsenal’s bid to recruit Vlahovic ahead of so many other big clubs may appear ambitious, there has been rising suspicion that their desire is real and that they are going all out to get him to the Emirates Stadium…
When asked about the Vlahovic transfer rumor, Arteta didn’t deny the efforts to recruit the 21-year-old, and even hinted that Gunners boss Edu is hard at work this January attempting to secure good acquisitions.
“I think with the quantity of things and the way that we want to improve the team, we have to maximize every window in many different ways,” Arteta said when asked about Vlahovic, according to the Daily Mirror.
“Edu and his team are working extremely hard because we know exactly what we need to achieve, and whether we can complete it in January or in the summer depends on other factors.”
