Barcelona and Manchester City are now speaking in the side of midfielders. According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City and Barcelona both have what each other need.
Manchester City have Bernardo Silva a 27 year told Portuguese midfielder who plays for Manchester City. Bernardo joined Manchester City for a reported free of €54m in 2017. Bernardo Silva’s contract is set to expire in 2025. Though he has spent 5 years with Manchester City and still has 3 more years, Bernardo is speaking of leaving the Premier League champions this summer.
Pep Guardiola who is the boss of Manchester City has said that Manchester City are not willing to release him but will consider releasing him only because they don’t keep players in the club, when those players want to leave. Bernardo Silva could cost Barcelona a fee of €90m.
Barcelona on the other hand have Pablo Gavi who is 17 years and plays the role of “center midfielder“, “attacking midfielder” and “defensive midfielder“. Gavi has only one year left in his contract with Barcelona but he is clearly not thinking of leaving the Catalan Giants. Barcelona however could use 17 years told Pablo Gavi as a sacrificial lamb in other to get Bernardo Silva.
