The Red Devils will be looking to avenge their home defeat against Aston Villa earlier on in the season when they face off in the third round of the FA Cup in January.
United fell to a 1-0 home defeat in the Premier league back in September as Kortney Hause’s late header ensured that the Villians stole all three points away from the Theatre of Dreams.
There have been managerial changes for both sides ever since as Liverpool Legend Steven Gerrard replaced Dean Smith while United also showed Ole Gunnar Solksjaer the exit door out of Old Trafford to usher in German tactician Ralf Ragnick.
Since he joined from Scottish side Rangers in November, Gerrard’s side have won 3 out of the 4 games played.
Under Ralf Ragnick, United have secured their first home clean sheet in the league since April and have also recorded the highest number of ball recoveries (12) in the opposition half of a Manchester United team since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.
The game will be played at Old Trafford on January 8, 2022 by 16:00 WAT.
