Arsenal will look to solve their midfield crisis this summer as they would be left short of manpower in the center of the park with Roma preparing a fresh bid for Granit Xhaka in the summer while Mohammed Elneny’s contract expires in the summer leaving them with Thomas Partey as their only experienced leg in the team as it would be a big risk to go into a new season with Sambi Lokonga and Charlie Patino at the helm of affairs.
The Gunners could swoop in for Lyon’s Maxence Caqueret who has had negotiations breakdown with the Ligue 1 side who are unwilling to meet his wage demands according to French media outlet Footmercato.
Maxence Caqueret had been previously linked with a move to London and now this could be the perfect opportunity to land the 22 year old French footballer whose contract expires in 2023.
The North Londoners would not have a problem with his wage demands owing to the number of players they let out of the club which somewhat brought a balance to their wage structure.
The 22 year old can play at the center of the park and also operate from the right hand which would come as a perfect fit for Mikel Arteta.
