Football Club Barcelona have shown interest in signing Sevilla center back Jules Kounde.

Following the contract renewal of 21 year old defender Ronald Araujo until 2025, Araujo will need a long-term partner who will pair in the center back position with him. Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has made it clear to Barcelona that he is not planning to include Gerard Pique in the next season’s agenda.

Kounde price has been set for around €65m (£56m) amid Barcelona interest. Barcelona are not the only club interested in signing Kounde. Chelsea are also interested in bringing Jules Kounde to Stamford Bridge next summer following the departure of Andreas Christensen.

According to latest reports Sevilla are more interested in Chelsea’s offer than that of Barcelona but Kounde is interested in only joining Barcelona this summer.
