Arsenal have confirmed that Nikolaj Moller has returned to the Emirates Stadium after a loan spell with Viktoria Koln in Germany.
Moller joined the North London club from Malmo on transfer deadline day in October 2020, following which he joined the Under-23s UT and was later loaned out.
According to football.london, Arsenal activated a recall clause to bring him back.
With three goals in 13 games for Viktoria Koln in all competitions, he is unlikely to be given a shot with Mikel Arteta’s side and will instead focus on his development with the Under-23s.
Arsenal’s Head of Emerging Potential, Yousuf Sajjad, recently told football.london about the club’s new crop of talent, which includes Moller: ‘All of the guys that have come in, exhibit champion attitude as that is a pre-requisite to any player we try to recruit.’
‘To Nikolaj Moller, who is an incredible person being as well as a player with great potential, from the lads above.
‘To Joel Ideho and Omar Rekik, who have had to relocate to a new nation and adjust to new ways of life.
‘They all have fantastic potential as footballers and fit the characteristics of what we are looking for in our first squad.’
