On the 16 of March, 2021, in San Francisco, Flutterwave, Africa payment giant, announce the new collaboration with the world payment giant, Paypal. The collaboration is for the purpose of making payments easier for African businesses to receive and make payment through Paypal around the world.

The collaboration also connect African business to more than 377 million Paypal accounts globally.

Flutterwave is succeeding on this embarkment by making this happen through Flutterwave integration with Paypal, So merchants can add Paypal as a payment option when receiving money outside the county.

Flutterwave merchants registered business accounts will be operational across 50 Africa countries and worldwide, said by flutterwave CEO, Olugbenga(GB) Agboola.

In the past year, only 12 Africa countries can send and receive payment on Paypal, but with limitations and features. those countries includes, Algeria, Botswana, Egypt, Lesotho, Malawi, Maurities, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal, Seychelles, Kenya and South Africa.

Only user in those countries can send an receive payments via Paypal, but now, Flutterwave has brought everything to ease in Africa with their integration with Paypal.

The reason Paypal restrict most Africa countries, especially, Nigeria from using their service is because of fraud and banks insecurities happening in those countires. But now, Flutterwave will take most of the risk Paypal thinks it will occur if it make its platform more available to merchants in these countries.
